The flight went on to take in the Peel owned Liverpool John Lennon Airport and a range of developments on the Group's 36 mile long Manchester Ship Canal which includes the multi-modal Port Salford terminal for international trade and Media City:UK, future home for major sections of the BBC, at the heart of Greater Manchester.
Mr Møller arrived at the Port of Liverpool to visit his Group's Norfolkline Irish Sea terminal at Twelve Quays and met Maersk Line's 135 strong team at their offices in the city, before joining Peel's Chairman John Whittaker for talks and the helicopter flight.
"We were delighted," said Mr Whittaker, "that Mr Møller was able to take the time to see for himself Peel's expansion plans for the Port of Liverpool and the Manchester Ship Canal, linked to the development of this 44 mile long dynamic waterway handling 41 million tonnes of cargo a year."
