Medway welcomes UK's largest ever LNG delivery

For Immediate Release - 17 November, 2008

One of the world's largest ships arrived in Medway Monday 17th November with the UK's largest ever delivery of liquid natural gas (LNG).

The Al Khuwair docked in Grain, carrying 5 billion cubic feet of LNG from Qatar, enough to fuel 4.5 million homes for a week.  At almost 1,000 ft long - the length of 33 double-decker buses, the vessel is the largest ever to visit the Medway.
